Geo-Graphics Glacier Peak Wilderness, North Cascade Range, Washington topographic map Detailed topographic map printed on two sides. On one side is the map of the entire federal Wilderness Area, which includes portions of both Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and Wenatchee National Forest. The map also shows southern portions of North Cascades National Park and much of Lake Chelan National Recreation Area. On the reverse side is a much more detailed map of that portion of the wilderness centered on Glacier Peak. Both maps show elevation contours, glacier fields, creeks and rivers, and forested areas. They also delineate trails (including the Pacific Crest Trail), roads, trailheads, campgrounds, picnic areas, and more.A text section gives details on area history, wildlife, minimum impact, restrictions, safety, and more.
Although in writing my first review of this map, I located a publication date of 1997 on it, I can find no later date than 1990 on the current stock. It may be that the publisher forgot to put a new date on it when last reprinted.

National Geographic/ Trails Illustrated Olympic National Park topographic mapThe latest, much improved edition, now with shaded relief to depict the land forms as well as topographic contours. The new version also shows the extent of forests with a green tint, and, as you can see by the cover image at left, they have improved the cover design considerably.
The map is printed on two sides with the western half (including seashore areas) on one side and the eastern half on the reverse. This publication includes extensive information on the park including wilderness regulations, safety, and ethics. There is also an index to USGS 7.5 minute quads and an index to wilderness campsites. The map shows large portions of the adjacent Olympic National Forest. Like other maps in the Trails Illustrated series, it is based on USGS quads, but updated in cooperation with federal and state land management agencies.
