International Travel Maps Vietnam travel map
Detailed travel and reference map, printed on two sides.  The southern part of the country is shown on one side; insets show "Hue and Region" in detail, Central Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) streets and landmarks, and Phu Quoc Island.  On the reverse side is the map of the north part of Vietnam, with an inset showing Central Hanoi streets and landmarks, and another inset showing the whole country and offshore islands, with individual provinces distinctly colored.  The hundreds of place names on the maps include the diacritical marks of the Vietnamese language.  Features of adjacent countries are included, but at less detail.

The main maps employ graduated color tins to show major elevation levels.  Different classes of roads are distinguished, with routes numbered.  Also shows airports, railways, parks and reserves, provincial boundaries, swamps, ports, beaches, points of interest, mines, bird watching sites, diving areas, and more.  Marginal notes describe the geography or history of specific areas.  Cities and towns on each side of the sheet are separately indexed.  The legends explain symbols in both English and Vietnamese.

Nelles Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia travel map
Excellent travel map shows major and minor roads, cities and towns, and points of special interest to visitors.  The mountains are depicted in shaded relief, lowlands emphasized with green tints.  (See sample at right.)  Distances between junctions along major roads are indicated in kilometers.  Insets show street plans of central Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), and Hanoi.  The map is printed on two sides.  Significant portions of adjacent Thailand (as far west as Bangkok) and China are also shown.  The legend describes map symbols in English, German, and French.
