Printed on one side only, the map employs elevation contours to show the form of the land.  No detail whatsoever is shown on the Mexico-Sonora side of the border, and the US-Arizona side covers only about 20% of the paper: Buy this map and you are purchasing a map which is largely blank.  But for US lands, color tints show land management status: Pink for military reservations, with yellow-orange BLM lands next most noticeable.  There are also blue state lands, red-dotted Bureau of Recreation lands, and white private land.

The only town or community in the region is San Luis and the only highway a piece of US 95.  Luke Air Force base covers a large part of the area.  

Major geographical features include Yuma Desert, Vopoki Ridge, Gila Mountains, Butler Mountains, Davis Plain, Tinajas Altas Mountains, and Lechuguilla Desert.

Scale, 1:100,000 (1 inch = about 1.6 miles).  Contour interval = 40 meters.  Size: about 43 x 27 inches.  Folded.  Paper.
