Printed on one side only, the map employs elevation contours to show the form of the land.  A solid green tint shows the extent of woodlands, green dots show brushy areas.  A brown tint shows mining disturbances.  Shows rivers,  washes, aqueducts, springs, and wells.  Township and section lines are marked.  Roads of all classes are depicted (but only US and state highways are numbered).  Shows major power lines, mines, quarries, corrals, campgrounds, landing strips, railways, and more.  (See sample below.)

Cities, towns, and settlements on the map include San Luis, Santa Lucia, Ko Vaya, Sil Nakya, Schuchk, Comobabi, Haitana Nakya, Queens Well, Pan Tak, San Pedro, Nawt Vaya, Three Points, Silver Bell, Marana, Rillito, Cortaro, Jaynes, and the west side of Tucson.  Much of the west and southern parts of the map are within the "Papago" (Tohono O'Odham Nation) Reservation; the lower right corner is within the San Xavier Indian Reservation.  The Tucson Mountain section of Saguaro National Monument (now a National Park) is mapped, as is the adjacent Tucson Mountain County Park.

Major highways through the region include Interstate 10, state 86, state 286, and state 386.  The entire area is within Pima County.

Important physical features on the map include Santa Rosa Valley, Santa Rosa Mountains, Sil Nakya Hills, North Comobabi Mountains, South Comobabi Mountains, Pipyak Valley, Aguirre Valley, West Silver Bell Mountains, Silver Bell Mountains, Roskruge Mountains, Altar Valley, Avra Valley, Tortolita Mountains, Santa Cruz River, Tucson Mountains, and Black Mountain.

Scale, 1:100,000 (1 inch = about 1.6 miles).  Contour interval = 20 meters.  Size: about 43 x 23½ inches.  Folded.  Paper.
