Printed on one side only, the map employs elevation contours to show the form of the land.  A solid green tint shows the extent of woodlands, green dots show brushy areas.  Shows lakes, rivers, creeks, washes, springs, and wells.  Township and section lines are marked.  Roads of all classes are depicted (but only US and state highways are numbered).  Shows major power lines, mines, corrals, gaging stations, campgrounds, landing strips and more.  (See sample below.)

Communities on the map include Seneca, Carrizo, Cedar Creek, and Canyon Day.  The left side of the map is within Tonto National Forest, and includes Sierra Ancha Wilderness and Salt River Canyon Wilderness.  Much of the upper center and right of the map is within Fort Apache Indian Reservation, the lower center and right is within San Carlos Indian Reservation.  The major highways that run across the map include US 60/state 77, state 88, state 288, and state 73.

Important physical features mapped include the Sierra Ancha, the eastern tip of Theodore Roosevelt Lake, Cherry Creek, Salt River, Cibecue Creek, Sawmill Canyon, Big Canyon, White River, Sevenmile Rim, Black River, and Natanes Plateau.

Scale, 1:100,000 (1 inch = about 1.6 miles).  Contour interval = 50 meters.  Size: about 43 x 23-1/2 inches.  Folded.  Paper.
