Detailed travel and reference map printed on two sides. One side shows the northern part of the nation, the reverse shows the southern, with a considerable amount of overlap between the two. Color tints show major elevation levels. Other physical features shown include high points, coral reefs, sand, swamps, and watercourses. (See sample at right.)Administrative divisions are shown with the city serving as the administrative centre of each division underlined. Roads of several different classes are clearly distinguished. Oil pipelines, gas pipelines, oil terminals, and oil fields are all indicated with symbols. Also marked are points of interest, forts, historical sites, airports, sea ports, lighthouses, wells, and more.
An inset shows street details and important buildings of central Riyadh, the capital. Each side of the map includes a separate index of place names. A list of major cities in a table gives the 1992 and 2003 populations of each. Also shows all of Qatar and Bahrain, almost all of the United Arab Emirates, and the southern 2/3rds of Jordan.
