Quitobaquito Hills 100K
Quitobaquito Hills, Arizona-Sonora 1:100,000 scale topo map

USGS Quitobaquito Hills, Arizona, metric topographic map
Printed on one side only, the map employs elevation contours to show the form of the land.  Only a small triangle, measuring less than five miles high and twelve miles wide, is within Arizona; all of the rest of the area covered by the map is in Sonora, Mexico.  Of the area in Mexico, only about one-third—the part closest to the US border—shows any detail; the rest of the area is blank except for major UTM lines.  For the areas that are mapped, shows washes, wells, springs, and dry lakes.  Township and section lines are marked on the US side.  Roads of all classes are depicted (federal and state highways are numbered).  (See sample below.)
Since the detail on the Sonoran side of the international boundary is a half-size reduction of Mexican government 1:50,000-scale quadrangles, the print is finer and more difficult to read.

The regions contains no cities, towns, and communities, but a few isolated buildings in Mexico are marked.  The only noteworthy political units shown include small parts of Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Barry M. Goldwater Air Force Range, and Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge.

Major physical features shown include Desierto de Altar, Volcan el Verdugo, Volcan Romo, Sierra el Pinacate, Volcan el Elegante, Volcan Colorado, Sierra Los Tanques, and Quitobaquito Hills.

Scale, 1:100,000 (1 inch = about 1.6 miles).  Contour interval = 50 meters in USA, 20 meters in Mexico.  Size: about 43 x 24 inches.  Folded.  Paper.
