Printed on one side only, the map employs elevation contours to show the form of the land.  A solid green tint shows the extent of woodlands, green dots show brushy areas.  Shows rivers, streams, creeks, washes, lakes, wells, canals, aqueducts and springs.  Township and section lines are marked.  Roads of all classes are depicted (but only US and state highways are numbered).  Shows major power lines, railways, airports and landing strips, mines, and more.  (See sample below.)

Cities, towns, and communities on the map include Wickenburg, Morristown, Wittmann, New River, Waddell, Citrus Park, Bumstead, Sun City West, Surprise, El Mirage, Sun City, Agua Fria, White Tanks, Youngtown, Peoria, Weedville, Glendale, Adobe, Maryvale, Alhambra, and Phoenix.  The major highways in the area are Interstate 17, a small piece of Interstate 10, US 60, US 89, and state 74.  Parks in the area include White Tank Mountain Regional Park, Lake Pleasant Regional Park, Adobe Dam Recreation Area, Cave Buttes Recreation Area, and a small section of Tonto National Forest.

Major physical features include Wickenburg Mountains, Vulture Mountains, Hassayampa Plain, Hassayampa River, Belmont Mountains, Tonopah Desert, White Tank Mountains, Hieroglyphic Mountains, Lake Pleasant, New River Mountain, Paradise Valley, and Cave Creek.
