Benchmark Maps, Oregon Road & Recreation AtlasThis collection of excellent maps gives you complete coverage of the state of Oregon. The largest section is a set of 74 “landscape” maps, which are very detailed road maps—from Interstate to four wheel drive—superimposed upon excellent shaded relief maps tinted with colors representing major elevational changes. Roads are clearly distinguished and numbered, with local named roads labeled. Also shows ferries, railroads, National Parks, Indian reservations, military reservations, rest areas, points of interest, golf courses, lighthouses, gates, airports, picnic areas, campgrounds, trailheads, mines, ski areas, and more.
The second largest section is a recreation guide, which features 8 maps emphasizing land management agency (state, BLM, Forest Service, tribal areas, National Parks and Monuments, etc.) opposite pages briefly describing recreation sites on the corresponding maps including contact information. These pages also include climate information of representative cities.
Three supplementary double-spread maps show the full state, the northwest, and the major roads of the 48 contiguous United States.

DeLorme Oregon Atlas & GazetteerTopo maps of all of the state enhanced with shaded relief to emphasize the mountains. Imus Geographics State of Oregon: Topographic Road Map and Travel Guide Beautifully detailed map printed on two sides. The full state map is shown on one side, a travel guide is on the reverse. The map employs shaded relief to show the form of the land, and also (quite unusual for a road map) includes elevation contours at unspecified intervals. (The latter are of limited use as they are printed lightly to avoid confusion with other map features.) Also quite unusual for a state road map is that it uses a green tint to show the location of wooded areas, which may be of particular interest to recreationalists looking for shady places to visit. Highways of all classes are clearly distinguished, with point-to-point mileages indicated for major and secondary roads. Also plotted are Amtrak routes and the location of the historic Oregon Trail. Other features shown include airports, campgrounds (more shown than most road maps), lighthouses, ski areas, ranger stations, state wildlife area, and state fish hatcheries. On the reverse side is a region-by-region guide with brief descriptions of places of interest accompanied by a black and white photograph. A mileage table enables you to easily calculate the distances between important cities and towns. A comprehensive index helps you locate the place names on the map.
Scale, 1:800,000 (1 inch = about 12.6 miles). Size: about 38 x 26½ inches. Folded. Paper.
