This publication includes a topographic map of King Range NCA (overseen by the US Bureau of Land Management) on one side, another of adjacent Sinkyone Wilderness State Park (California State Parks) on the reverse. These areas are along the coast west of Leggett, Garberville, and Humboldt Redwoods State Park (all south of Eureka).The maps show topographic contours, but only at 250- or 500-foot intervals—much less frequent than normally expected at these scales. But the maps clearly show the trails, roads, campsites, parking areas, and other features of both areas. There is a generous amount of text by hiking travel writer John McKinney describing each area, its history, camping opportunities, park rules and more. Now printed on waterproof plastic.

Wilderness Press Topographic Map of Lassen Volcanic National Park & VicinityThis painstakingly-researched map printed on two sides not only includes the National Park in four-color cartography, but also has two-color maps of the Caribou Wilderness, Thousand Lakes Wilderness, Hat Creek Valley and McArthur-Burney Falls State Park. Cartographer and trail surveyor Jeffrey Schaffer has taken the standard USGS map of the park and remapped the trails with extraordinary detail and accuracy. When you see five switchbacks on a particular stretch of trail on the map, for example, you can be sure there were exactly five when he mapped it!

On one side is the northern part of the region, which not only shows two of the state parks included within the bounds of the national park (Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park and Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park), but also details Tolowa Dunes State Park, Lake Earl State Wildlife Area, and Smith River National Recreation Area.
