Good clear road map printed on two sides. One one side is the map of the full state. Different classes of roads are clearly distinguished, with point-to-point distances along most roads indicated in miles. Counties are marked and labelled. Green tints show National Forests, State Parks, and State Forests. Also shows airports, points of interest, colleges and universities, lighthouses, covered bridges, downhill and cross-country ski areas, rest areas, and more. (See sample at right.) Significant portions of adjacent Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maine are shown with the same detail. Insets show road details of Concord, Manchester, the Lebanon-Hanover areas, Nashua, Portsmouth, and Keene. A comprehensive index helps you locate counties, towns and places, points of interest, and state recreation areas on the map.The reverse side is filled with useful travel information, including a ski directory chart, brief descriptions of special points of interest, a public recreation area chart, park and ride lots, a list of scenic byways, a mileage chart, a large campground chart, and a list of covered bridges—most keyed to the map grid. There is also a description of the White Mountains, and a brief narrative of the history and geographical features of the state.
