Maine Wall Maps
USGS State of Maine Shaded Relief Wall Map
Detailed topographic map of the state, printed on one side only, features shaded relief to give the mountains and hills the illusion of three dimensions. Flatter areas are given a green tint. Elevation contours are included, and numerous mountain peaks and hills with elevations in feet are marked. Shows rivers, creeks, lakes, and other bodies of water. Shows cities, towns, and smaller communities; federal and state highways, railways and ferry routes; national parks, and county boundaries and names. Lines of latitude and longitude are provided at one degree intervals. The sample at left shows the full map. At right is a sample of a portion of the lower coast. No details of bordering areas outside the state are shown, other than coastlines.Note the publication date below: This is not a map you would buy for the latest roads or towns. But it is an excellent tool for studying the physical geography of the state, as well as a handsome display map for the home or office.
