The reverse shows the eastern part of Malaysia, located on the north side of the island of Borneo, and Brunei, on the same island. Significant sections of adjacent Indonesia and Thailand are also detailed. The rugged terrain is vividly depicted in shaded relief. The maps show roads of many classes, airports, railways, ferries, ancient sites, beaches, parks, temples, mosques, and other places of interest. The legend explains symbols in English, German, and French. Insets show the major streets of the cities of Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Georgetown (Penang), Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, and Bandar Seri Begawan.
