Kalaallit Nunaat
Greenland is considered a part of North America, though it is a territory of Denmark.
International Travel Maps Greenland travel map Printed on one side only, this travel map shows the entire island, and shows the coastal regions in detail. (See sample at right.) The ice cap that dominates the center is not shown in any detail at all except for a few spot elevations. Color tints show major elevation levels for the coastal non-glaciated areas. The map shows settlements, ferry routes, airports, and heliports—there are no roads between towns, so this is not a road map. The boundary of Northeast Greenland National Park, the largest in the world, is also shown. There are 14 color photos which show scenes from the island, and notes scattered throughout the map decribe its history, and geography, plus travel tips. The map is gridded with lines of longitude at 6 degree intervals, and lines of latitude at 3 degree intervals, plus the Arctic Circle.
