Grand Canyon Trail Guides

The first listings below are pocket-sized booklets produced by the Grand Canyon Association which will help you experience each trail more fully.  Each includes contemporary and historical photographs, and inform you about the geology, plants, animals, and human history specific to that trail.  They also include a basic line map of the trail, with a distance table in miles and kilometers.

The booklets give little information on the physical conditioning and gear needed to make the hikes—all of which are difficult—so be sure to read and heed National Park Service warnings and advice on how to survive an inner canyon trip, in other publications.
