Besides the title city of Globe, other towns and communities shown on the map include Inspiration, Miami, Claypool, Little Acres, Central Heights, Radium, Riverside, Kearney, Hayden, Christmas, Cutter, San Carlos, Peridot, Bylas, Geronimo, and Emery. The northwest corner of the map is within Tonto National Forest. A small portion of Coronado National Forest is in the lower edge of the map. The majority of the area is within the San Carlos Indian Reservation. The important highways on this map are US 70, US 60, state 77, state 88, state 177, and state 170.Major physical features shown include San Carlos Reservoir (just below the center), Pinal Mountains, Dripping Spring Mountains, Gila River, Mescal Mountains, San Carlos River, Natanes Plateau, Gila Mountains, and Santa Teresa Mountains.
The area is divided among three counties: Pinal, Gila, and Graham counties.
