One side shows the map of the entire state, with roads of all sizes readily distinguished, and with point-to-point mileages indicated for major and secondary roads. (See sample at right.) The map also shows wildlife refuges, military bases, state parks, campsites, rest areas, airports, information centers, and points of interest. Counties, cities and towns are fully indexed. A mileage chart enables you to quickly calculate the distances between important cities of Georgia. A chart lists with welcome centers with locations.On the reverse is a travel guide briefly describing points of interest, plus there are ten inset maps showing major roads of Albany, Athens, Augusta, Macon, Golden Isles-Brunswick, Atlanta and Vicinity, Columbus, and Savannah, and all of the streets of downtown Atlanta. AAA Atlanta, Georgia (Vicinity Series) road and street map
Clear detailed road and street map printed on two sides. On one side is the vicinity map which includes major and secondary roads within and all around the City of Atlanta, extending out about 11 to 36 miles from the edge of the city. Shows parks, lakes, airports, colleges and universities, golf courses, and more. An inset shows a detail of Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport; another shows the MARTA rail system in relation to the interstate grid and parking lots.On the reverse side are two detail maps of central Atlanta, one showing all of the streets of the Buckhead area, the other the city center including Georgia Institute of Technology, Piedmont Park, Centennial Olympic Park, Morehouse and Spielman colleges, Georgia State University, and Grant Park. Because of the large scale that is possible by omitting most of the city, these maps are much easier to read than most street maps. (See sample above right.) An index helps you find "features of interest," but none is provided for finding the streets. Note that on neither side is there a comprehensive street map of the entire city.
