Distinguishes BLM, Forest Service, Hualapai Reservation, Havasupai Reservation, and National Park Service ownership with Wilderness Areas outlined with a gray tint; and State lands; private lands are untinted. Shows rivers, streams, creeks, washes, springs, and wells. Township and section lines are marked. Roads of all classes are depicted (with US and state highways and Forest Service roads numbered). Shows railways, many trails, and quarries; campgrounds, trailheads, points of interest and more. (See sample below.)
Major physical features on the map include Grand Canyon (much of the eastern portion), and its side canyons including Mohawk Canyon, National Canyon, Tuckup Canyon, Havasu Canyon, Hundred and Fifty Mile Canyon, Kanab Creek, Deer Creek, Shinumo Creek, Trinity Creek, Bright Angel Creek, and Grapevine Creek. The Colorado River at the bottom of Grand Canyon is, of course, also prominent.The only developed areas on the map are Grand Canyon Village, Supai Village, and North Rim. The most important management units are Grand Canyon National Park, Kaibab National Forest, Havasupai Indian Reservation, Hualapai Indian Reservation, Kanab Creek Wilderness, and Saddle Mountain Wilderness. State highways 64 and 67 are the only major roadways in the area. The northwest corner is in Mohave County, the remainder in Coconino County.
