Excellent detailed road and reference map printed on two sides. The southern half of the country is on one side, the northern on the reverse (with the northern- and northwesternmost tips of the nation in separate insets). Shaded relief shows the form of the land, with a green tint showing the vast extent of wooded areas. Provincial boundaries are clearly marked. Hundreds, probably thousands, of cities, towns, and villages. Some of the larger cities and towns are labeled with both the Finnish name and that given by foreigners. (Adjacent parts of Russia have place names in both Roman and Cyrillic script.)Motorways of many different classes are clearly distinguished, with place-to-place distances along all major and many minor roads are indicated in kilometers. Also shows remote filling stations and service areas, steep grades, railway lines, military reservations, natural preserves, ferries, airports, panoramas, monasteries, campsites, spas, places of interest, and much more.
A 40-page booklet attached to the protective card cover includes a comprehensive index to place names, plus street maps of the city centers of Espoo, Helsinki, Rovaniemi, Tampere, and Vaasa.
