Nelles, Myanmar (Burma) map
Excellent travel and reference map printed on two sides, uses vivid shaded relief to show the form of the land.  The south half of the country is mapped on one side, the reverse depicts the north half.  The narrow southernmost strip of the nation is shown in an inset at the same scale as the main maps.  Adjacent regions of Thailand, India, Bangladesh and China are presented in equal detail.  Roads of all classes are clearly distinguished, and point-to-point distances along major roads are indicated in kilometers.  Also shown are railways, airports, places of interest, and national parks and reserves.

An inset shows street details of central Mandalay; another shows the Bagan region, locating the numerous temples, monasteries, and pagodas.  A third shows street details of central Yangon (Rangoon), with important buildings and other sights mapped.

Map printed on two sides of the entire region around India, including all of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Burma, Sri Lanka, and of course India.  Shaded area of map at right shows coverage.  The map shows detailed shaded relief with flat areas accented in green.  Insets show generalized street plans of Delhi and New Delhi, Mumbai (Bombay), and Calcutta.  Distances between road junctions are indicated in kilometers, locations of particular interest to visitors are marked with symbols.  The legend explains symbols in English, German, and French.
