The map of Bulgaria and adjacent countries (Romania as far north as Bucharest, for example) is on one side, a comprehensive index to place names on the reverse. Subtle shaded relief reveals the form of the mountains while green tints emphasize the lowlands. All classes of roads are east to distinguish. Distances between junctions are indicated in kilometers.
While most of the map uses Roman letters, the larger cities and towns are labeled in both Roman and Cyrillic alphabets. Map symbols are explained in German, English, French, and Hungarian (the latter the language of the map company).
Scale, 1:750,000 (1 inch = about 11.8 miles). Size: about 34½ x 19 inches. Folded. Glossy paper.

Detailed travel map printed on two sides, shows the west side of the country on one side, on the east side the reverse. Graduated color tints show major elevation levels. Shows hundreds of Cities, towns, and villages. Names are given in Roman type, though major cities and are also labeled in Cyrillic, as well. Clearly distinugishes roads of many classes, with point-to-point distances along highways indicated in kilometers.Also shows railways, national parks, campsites, points of interest, beaches, lighthouses, airfields, and more. A large inset map shows the major streets of the capital Sofia, and this also locates rail and bus stations and important buildings.
Scale, 1:375,000 (1 inch = about 5.9 miles). Size: about 27 x 39 inches. Folded. Plastic.
