Printed on one side only, the map employs elevation contours to show the form of the land.  A solid green tint shows the extent of woodlands, a dotted green tint shows the location of scrublands.  Brown dots show sandy areas.  Shows rivers, streams, creeks, washes, springs, lakes and wells.  Township and section lines are marked.  Roads of all classes are depicted (but only US and state highways are numbered).  Shows major power lines, mine shafts, mines and quarries, and gravel pits; landing strips and more.  (See sample below.)

Boulder City is in the upper left corner of the map, and is the only named town in the region covered.  The small communities or developments of Nelson, Nelson Landing, and Boulder Inn are also within the region.  The Colorado River runs down the left third of the map, part of it impounded in Lake Mohave.  The lands on each side of the river are part of the lower section of Lake Mead National Recreation Area, and these boundaries are marked.  The only major roads on the map are US 95 and US 93.

Physical features included are Eldorado Valley, Eldorado Mountains, Black Mountains, Detrital Valley, White Hills, Cerbat Mountains, Grapevine Mesa, northern Hualapai Valley, with the dry Red Lake in the same valley.

Scale, 1:100,000 (1 inch = about 1.6 miles).  Contour interval = 50 meters.  Size: about 43 x 24 inches.  Folded.  Paper.
