Boulder City is in the upper left corner of the map, and is the only named town in the region covered. The small communities or developments of Nelson, Nelson Landing, and Boulder Inn are also within the region. The Colorado River runs down the left third of the map, part of it impounded in Lake Mohave. The lands on each side of the river are part of the lower section of Lake Mead National Recreation Area, and these boundaries are marked. The only major roads on the map are US 95 and US 93.Physical features included are Eldorado Valley, Eldorado Mountains, Black Mountains, Detrital Valley, White Hills, Cerbat Mountains, Grapevine Mesa, northern Hualapai Valley, with the dry Red Lake in the same valley.
