Excellent travel map, with detailed shaded-relief to depict the mountains, green tinting to show the lowlands. (See sample at right.) The map is printed on two sides, with all of Bangladesh, and parts of adjacent India and Burma, on one side, the reverse side showing northeastern India, Bhutan, and Tibet as far north as Lhasa. The two sides have a generous amount of overlap. Insets show generalized street plans of Dhaka and Calcutta. Different classes of roads are clearly distinugished. Distances between road junctions are indicated in kilometers, locations of particular interest to visitors are marked with symbols. The legend explains symbols in English, German, and French.
