Rand McNally United States Wall Map, M Series
Large and colorful wall map of the United States, a detailed and useful addition to any map lover’s space.  Each state is vividly distinguished in an unusual and attractive hue.  Details include major highways, large or regionally important cities and towns, national parks and monuments, time zones, and major mountain peaks.  Shaded relief is used to show the form of the mountains.  Lines of longitude and latitude are delineated at 4 degree intervals.  Alaska and Hawaii are shown in separate insets (at smaller and larger scales, respectively).

Scale, about 1:4,250,000 (1 inch = about 67 miles).  Albers Equal Area projection.  Size: about 50 x 32 inches.  Rolled.  Paper.

Rand McNally United States Wall Map, M Series, laminated
This is identical to the preceding, except that it is laminated—and thus costs more.  The lamination is not as heavy as found on the National Geographic US maps described elsewhere, but the map is less expensive laminated US wall map I sell.

Rand McNally  United States Wall Map, M Series, laminated, with rails and hangers
This is identical to the preceding and is also laminated, but in addition, the upper and lower borders are stiffened with rigid plastic rails.  Plastic clips which attach to the rails and serve as hangers are included in the package.

Rand McNally United States Wall Map, M Series, Reduced, Laminated
This US map has the same details as the preceding three maps, except that it is reduced in size for the benefit of those with limited space.  Keep in mind that as a reduced version, the print is also tinier (about 4 point), and while the state names are bold enough, you may need a lens to read the town names if you have trouble reading very fine print.

Rand McNally United States Wall Map, Classic Edition
If the M Series maps are too bright for you, try this aged-look Classic series map, with parchment-like paper and muted colors.  Notice that the oceans are not colored blue but are the color of the paper, a sort of beige.  Each state is distinctly tinted.  Shaded relief shows the form of the mountains.

Details shown include cities and towns, important bodies of water, large or important National Parks and Monuments, and time zone boundaries.  US and Interstate highways are shown and numbered, but are rather subtly printed, so you wouldn't want to use this for planning road trips.  Latitude and longitude lines are provided at four degree intervals.
