Crescent, Oregon regional raised relief map

Hubbard Scientific Crescent, Oregon regional raised relief map
This three-dimensional vinyl map shows a section of central Oregon, with some lower peaks of the Cascades at left, Newberry Crater in the top third to left of center, and much of the rest of the area a mixture of flat lands interrupted by buttes and other small mountains of volcanic origin.

Maps in this series show elevation contours, with a green tint showing the extent of woodlands.  Water features such as lakes, ponds, creeks, marshes, canals, and shorelines (where present) are indicated in detail.  Shows roads and highways of all classes, and sometimes trails.  Railroads are also shown.  National, state, provincial, and county boundaries are demarcated, as are other boundaries such as parks and wildlife refuges.  Other features shown in this series are mines, airstrips and airports, isolated landmark buildings, lookout towers, and more.  The maps are lined with the UTM grid at 1000 meter intervals.

Few of the maps in this series are recently published.  The manufacturer, Hubbard Scientific, uses data from the US Geological Survey, but USGS rarely updates any of the maps in this series; most use data 20 to 40 years old.  You get them for the depiction of the topography, which rarely changes, not for current roads and city boundaries.  In fact, many of them have an added appeal for their historical interest.  See below for date of the map described on this page.

This map is bounded by 43 and 44 degrees north latitude, 120 and 122 degrees west longitude.
