Mainly Maps State of Arkansas raised relief map
Detailed map of this southeastern state dominated by the Ozarks in the northwest half, the Mississippi River Valley in the east and south. Based on a USGS state map; shows county boundaries, land lines, major and minor roads and towns. You will probably need to have a magnifier to read all of the names, since the base map was reduced from the original USGS paper version! In fact, the key to this map mentions a contour interval of 200 feet, but in most cases topographic contours are nearly—or simply are—invisible. (See the Arkansas Wall Maps link, below: We also sell the more detailed USGS map it is based upon.)
Unlike most of the other state maps produced by Hubbard, this one has a flat border.
In short, this map is not as well done as most of Hubbard Scientific's other offerings, but it's the only one of this state available, and will certainly be a valuable learning tool.
Scale, about 1:1,000,000 (1 inch = about 16 miles). Size: about 20½ x 18½ inches.
Published by Mainly Maps (distributed by Hubbard Scientific), 1993.
